Word to Dreams

This is the 2nd book I've read by Jill Cooper and she has just amazed me again.  I can't say enough good things about her books and the way she writes them!

I'm a fan of time travel books and for those of you who have read these genre of books before, you know that there are hits, misses, head scratching, and so forth with them.  Jill has taken the genre and not just made a hit with it, but I'm just in awe of how incredibly she kept it all together and didn't give anything away until it needed to be known.  I don't know if she wrote with diagrams all over her writing cave or what.

The characters were well thought out and well written with just the right amount of depth to each of them.  Subtle changes here and there for the different time jumps were flawless and balanced.  As a reader, I truly felt for Lara and shortly into the book found myself crying because the scene was just that touching.  And when you think you have it all figured out, think again, because guess what, yep, you're wrong!  Love it!

A Teen/YA novel, the main character is in high school, but she is the mature type of high schooler with a good head on her shoulders.  You aren't going to see sex and all that other stuff, which provides fluff for many books out there, which brings me to another point, this book is a good read from start to finish.  You will not want to put it down.  You will want to share with fellow readers.  I am recommending this to all readers 13+.  Action, adventure, mystery, loss, love, hope, and more is intertwined with some chapters encompassing all of these at the same time but not overwhelming the readers senses.
