Vampire Baby

Vampire Baby - Kelly Bennett, Paul Meisel First I wish to thank the author and publisher for providing me a print copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I am a lover of books and have been since I was a little girl. I can't remember my mother ever reading to me, but my earliest memories of are me having a trunk full of Golden Books, Arch Books and picture books in all shapes and sizes. I tried ready to my first born, but she never wanted me to. Luckily, my twins loved being read to, especially Madison. I can honestly say that I've read my fair share of children's books and it was quite an honor to be able to read Vampire Baby.

First off, this is NOT a scary book. Don't think that getting your child this book will give them nightmares because it will not. It's fun, silly, charming and touching. The premise is simple, the younger sibling is basically annoying their older one to no end and he's ready to find a new home for her until he realizes just how much she does mean to him. As the youngest child in a family I've been on that side, my sister wanted to exchange me for the little boy that lived down the street. Sometimes I think she still wishes she could have.

Now, just because of that storyline doesn't mean that there has to be an issue going on between siblings. This is a cute story and any child would love the pictures and story, even one without siblings. I recommend this picture book to every child and feel that it's a good choice for any parent to read and share with their child or another's.
